Unschooling is een vorm van onderwijs, in tegenstelling tot formeel onderwijs waarbij een kind over onderwerpen wordt 'onderwezen' door middel van lessen en werkboeken, meestal op een school of een klasachtige omgeving Een kind dat ongeschoold is, is autodidact waarbij de leerverwachtingen en -druk achterblijven. Ze gaan niet naar school, of doen "school" zoals thuis. Unschooling is een idee dat het concept van traditioneel onderwijs verwerpt. Ze zullen door het dagelijkse leven leren en hun eigen nieuwsgierigheid en interesses toelaten om hen te begeleiden op hun academische pad.Ouders van ongeschoolde kinderen geloven hun kind wanneer ze de kans krijgen om de dingen volgen die ze interessant vinden en door hun kind de vrijheid te geven om ideeën in de echte wereld tegen te komen in plaats van leerboeken zal hun kind NATUURLIJK leren aangezien elk kind van nature nieuwsgierig is en het vermogen heeft om van zijn omgeving te leren, net als toen ze leerden lopen en praten als peuters. De term "unschooling" werd in de jaren zestig bedacht en gebruikt door opvoeder John Holt , die algemeen wordt beschouwd als de vader van unschooling, en een pionier in de theorie van jeugdrechten. Hij werkte op veel particuliere scholen en zag hoe het schoolsysteem de liefde van kinderen om te leren in de steek liet. Twee van zijn boeken, namelijk 'Hoe kinderen falen' en 'Altijd leren', werden toen en nu de fundamentele overtuigingen van veel thuisonderwijzers. Hij stelt: " Het is niet zo dat ik vind dat school een goed idee is dat fout is gegaan, maar een verkeerd idee vanaf het begin. Het is een gek idee dat we een plek kunnen hebben waar niets anders dan leren gebeurt, afgesneden van de rest van het leven" Een Unschooling-familie zijn, betekent niet dat je nooit je kinderen lesgeeft kind alles en vertrouw er alleen op dat uw kind alleen leert, door middel van natuurlijk dagelijks leven en nieuwsgierigheid ,Ja ! dat is een groot deel van hoe een kind belangstelling heeft voor leergroei, - maar ongeschoolde ouders zijn zeer betrokken bij het helpen van hun kind bij het verzamelen van informatie en hen van de middelen te voorzien. Laten we zeggen of uw kind graag Roblox of Minecraft speelt, zoals de meeste kinderen doen - de onderwerpen en leermogelijkheden omvatten wiskunde - geld, metingen, optellen en aftrekken met behulp van mentale wiskundige berekeningen, om er maar een paar te noemen, ook Engelse lees-, schrijf- en logische vaardigheden, verschillende creatieve kunstvaardigheden, wetenschap en levensvaardigheden, natuurlijk verbeteren ze hun technologische vaardigheden met programmeren, codering en algemene leercomputervaardigheden. Als de passie van je kind het spelen van gamesoftware is, kunnen ze onderzoek doen naar tutorials over instructievideo's via youtube en zoekopdrachten op het web willen ze misschien hun eigen roblox-games maken of zelfs een YouTube-gamingkanaal starten, zoals mijn zoon en dochter. Je zou hun leerervaringen en nieuwsgierigheid kunnen bevorderen door te luisteren en te helpen bij het oplossen van problemen als ze naar jou toe komen voor hulp ,zoals vinden beschikbare materialen en bronnen om hen te helpen een oplossing beter te vinden, of u kunt zelfs enkele instructievideo's over dat onderwerp bekijken, dan laat u het uw kind zien en laat u het deze methoden toepassen. Uw kind is misschien geïnteresseerd in iets heel anders, zoals kunst , dinosaurussen, geologie, wat hun interesses nu ook zijn, hetzelfde geldt dat ze dat onderwerp zullen opnemen, met onderzoek, vragen, activiteiten en hands-on tijd die ze zelf verwerven, het enige dat telt is weten dat ze aan het leren zijn en er echt van genieten! Het aanleren van levensvaardigheden van uw kind en hen kansen te geven thuis en in de gemeenschap zijn altijd hoge prioriteiten voor ongeschoolde gezinnen. Unschoolers zijn ervan overtuigd dat een kind in zijn eigen tempo en voor eigen rekening informatie uit zijn omgeving zal verzamelen, gewoon elke dag levend, natuurlijk zoals ze komen - zonder geplande leerlessen en zonder stress door te denken dat ze kan mislukken omdat er geen tests of cijfers zijn om competentie te meten. Er zijn geen deadlines of doelen gesteld door een leraar, het kind krijgt de vrijheid om zijn individuele interesses te verkennen. Unschooling is het idee dat kinderen hun eigen leerproces kunnen sturen, in hun eigen tempo. Net zoals een peuter zelfstandig leert lopen en leert praten hun moedertaal - het kind hoefde geen werkboeken af te maken of lessen te volgen, ze keken en luisterden naar anderen om hen heen, ze kregen aanmoediging en vertrouwen van het ecosysteem van hun familie - ze waren nieuwsgierig totdat ze het uiteindelijk zelf konden doen - sommigen sneller dan anderen - maar toen ze er klaar voor waren, slaagden ze erin. De meesten van ons als volwassen volwassenen herinneren zich echt niet wat we op school hebben geleerd omdat we er geen interesse in hadden om de informatie te onthouden, of we hebben het nooit nodig gehad aangezien de samenleving door de jaren heen is veranderd en vooruitgegaan . We moeten niet vergeten dat als we zelf nieuwsgierig zijn naar iets, we als -volwassenen dat onderwerp bestuderen door informatie en video's te onderzoeken over het web, wij vind en lees boeken over dat onderwerp - om ons te helpen betere kennis op te doen, kunnen we ons zelfs inschrijven voor een klas over dat onderwerp. We leren onszelf hoe te doen die nieuwe dingen, dus wat houdt onze eigen kinderen tegen om hetzelfde te doen? NIETS! We moeten stoppen met onszelf voor te houden dat leren alleen beperkt is tot werkboeken en a formele leerbenadering. Leren moet niet worden beschreven in leerplannen en niet worden ingedeeld in onderwerpen. Leren was er altijd al voordat het "schoolsysteem" werd gecreëerd. We moeten onthouden dat we werden allemaal als capabel geboren lerende wezens. Australia government approved unschooling reports and learning plans Share qld government approved unschooling reports and learning plan overview with copy of samples If your already a unschooler, looking for help on how to create an unschooling end of year report or learning plan to meet your home-school registration requirements, or are looking to get into unschooling or are just curious as to how unschoolers learn through everyday life, we are here to help you and provide you with some helpful tips, information and samples of our approved unschooling plans for 2023-2024, for our 3 unschooling children aged 11,10,9. Our current Australian state for registration is QLD, but these learning plans and reports are great samples to use as guidance for other states and territories. Overview of our approach to home-educating -By allowing them to use Hands on experiences in the real world -By letting them learn new skills and knowledge from on the spot learning in daily life through open conversations and self research. -Allowing them the freedom to follow their passions and interests because they are always changing and my children are forever learning so many new skills and knowledge covering all the key subjects - And by allowing the natural environment and community to act as their third teacher My Children are free to learn, pursue, try and do everything they are curious about, I encourage them to have hands on opportunities, to be as independent as I can possibly handle and to learn from any in the moment opportunities that come our way. Helpful tips we recommend and use when creating your reports and plans 1 - I find it easy to create my reports and learning plans using an online platform that allows for you to add photos (I use the app canva on my computer)- as i like adding all the photos I have throughout the year of each child beforehand, as this gives me a overview of what they have gotten upto for the year, as we are unschoolers most of my documentation/records of learning is through photos as i ts the most easiest way for us to document in the moment learning throughout the year. PLUS I really have no idea what to add in their reports until I see all the photos in one place, and I always include PHOTOS in my reports/plans so the "education department can SEE my childrens learning" - research your governments reporting requirements and learning plan requirements prior to see what "questions" you need to include in your reports/plans . - These are the questions the QLD HOME-SCHOOL REPORTS need you to include in your report: -What are your general impressions on the year of home education? -Did you achieve the goals outlined in your program? -Did you make any changes to your program? Why/why not? -What were the highlights or lowlights? -In what area did your child achieve the most success? -Any other relevant information? OPTIONAL ATTACH YOUR SAMPLES - samples need to include date they were done and childs name on each of them - YOU NEED TO INCLUDE 2 WORK SAMPLES FROM YOUR CHILD FOR BOTH ENGLISH AND MATHS PLUS YOUR OWN CHOOSEN SUBJECT TO SHOW THEM THE WORK PROGRESS -(so a total of 6 samples)you also need to include answers to these questions about your samples,they are: -What approaches did you use to support your child in completing these samples ( so you write the approachs you used for english,maths and other subject) -What progress did you observe between the samples?(so again you write the progress you observed for EACH sample of english,maths and other subject you choose) -. At what level are these samples targeted? (For example, above, at or below age equivalence) -any other relevant information -optional IF you have more then 1 child home-schooling, i find it easy to create the first report template and use it for ALL of them -just twist it abit to suit each individual child, this saves you alot of time!! 2 -First before I create my plans on a piece of paper I write a list of things my child has been doing,things they have been getting up to lately as well as things they have previously been doing throughout the year and things I know they will be doing for the upcoming year-next to it I write a list of learning outcomes that "thing" would have taught them - if I am unsure of what learning takes place ,I do a quick google search on what learning it covers or if I want it to sound more educational. EXAMPLE- I usually do a quick google search of what does Roblox teach kids or what maths do kids learn from roblox EVERYTHING your children does,they are learning something one way or another.
