WHAT IS A TINKER SPACE?

A tinker space is a room that contains tools and resources, allowing children to enter with an idea and leave with a complete project,Kids naturally tinker; they build things and take things apart—especially when they’re left unattended! Tinkering is a hands-on experience where children are given time to explore and invent. It involves experimenting with real genuine tools to help a child understand how things work.Through Tinkering, children will be engaged in open-ended experiences that allow them to question, design, collaborate, and construct knowledge as they go. Tinkering promotes deep engagement in scientific and engineering practices. Just hashtag #tinkerspace online and you will find endless ideas and inspiration to encourage and promote natural learning in your classroom
